What counts as a question
A question is anything that runs a fresh query against your data and produces an AI-generated answer:
- A new natural-language question
- A follow-up message in a conversation thread
- A report refresh — both manual (“Refresh” button) and scheduled (daily/weekly/monthly cron). Each successful refresh counts as one question against your monthly quota.
These do not consume questions:
- Viewing or sharing an already-saved report
- Browsing AI Memory or audit logs
- Exporting a CSV
- SQL Live Edit re-runs (editing and re-executing a query)
- Configuring settings or admin actions
Saved reports & schedules
Saved reports are very cheap to keep around — your plan includes a generous cap purely for storage hygiene:
| Plan | Saved reports | Active scheduled reports |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 | — (feature not available) |
| Starter | 50 | — (feature not available) |
| Team | 500 | 10 |
| Business | 2,000 | 30 |
| Enterprise | Negotiated | Negotiated |
Scheduled reports have a tighter cap because each scheduled run consumes a question from your monthly quota. If you hit the saved-report cap, delete an unused report or upgrade your plan.
Upgrading your plan
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Upgrade
- Select your new plan
- Confirm payment
Upgrades take effect immediately. You’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle.
Downgrading
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select a lower tier
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. If your current usage exceeds the new plan’s limits (e.g., more users or data sources than allowed), you’ll need to adjust before the downgrade takes effect.
What happens to existing shared reports on downgrade?
If you downgrade to a plan that doesn’t include sharing (Free), your existing shared reports are preserved but go dormant — colleagues who previously had access will see a “sharing isn’t included in this plan — ask the workspace admin to upgrade” message. Owners always retain access to their own reports regardless of plan. Re-upgrading restores access immediately; nothing is deleted.
Overages
If you exceed your monthly question quota:
- You’ll receive a notification when you reach 80% and 100% of your limit
- On paid plans, questions beyond the limit are billed at $0.15 per question
- On the Free plan, questions stop at the limit — upgrade to Starter to keep going
- Overage charges appear on your next invoice
Additional seats beyond your plan’s included users are billed at $15/seat (Starter), $12/seat (Team), or $8/seat (Business) per month.
To avoid overages, upgrade to a higher plan or monitor usage in Settings > Usage.
Invoices
View and download invoices from Settings > Billing > Invoice History. Invoices are generated monthly and include:
- Subscription fee
- Any overage charges
- Payment method and date
Payment methods
Klairr accepts credit and debit cards via Stripe. You can update your payment method at any time from Settings > Billing.
Cancellation
To cancel your subscription:
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Cancel Plan
- Confirm cancellation
Your account remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. After that, your organization moves to a read-only state — you can still access past conversations and reports, but cannot ask new questions.
Enterprise
